With Bellafae serving as Bailiff.
To all who read these precepts, the following transcript of this trial is true and correct, to the best of my knowledge.
Clera, reporting.
[Bellafae] This court is now in session, The Honourable Judge Haengemie presiding.
[Haengemie] <standard pre-trial court briefing>
[Largo] Hello, honorable jury.
[Largo] I stand before you today, loath to take your time, but proud to serve my community by doing my part to punish a criminal.
[Largo] Wangah Rah has recently, frivolously, and dangerously jumped through an ethereal portal.
[Haengemie] 10 seconds remaining, Please finish up, or say "done"...
[Largo] This is sure to have caused untold damage to the planar boundaries.
[Haengemie] Thank you, Largo.
[Largo] Done.
[Haengemie] Wangah Rah, you have 90 seconds to speak.
[Wangah Rah] Fellow exiles. Good day.
[Wangah Rah] Recently, I was kidnapped by Pe Ell, and chained into an ethereal portal.
[Wangah Rah] Largo knows full well what events transpired to land me in the Ethereal Plane.
[Wangah Rah] It is well know Largo despises me, though I have caused no harm to him.
[Wangah Rah] It is disgusting that the Fen President, one who should uphold and protect...
[Wangah Rah] ...instead chooses to abuse his power to accuse the innocent.
[Haengemie] 10 seconds remaining, Please finish up, or say "done"...
[Wangah Rah] Wangah Rah frowns.
[Haengemie] Thank you, Wangah Rah.
[Haengemie] Largo, you have 120 seconds to speak.
[Largo] Wangah Rah has a marked history of assault, traitory, and general malarky.
[Largo] It is natural for a deceiver, nay, criminal of his caliber to lie flagrantly to protect himself.
[Largo] Do we forget so soon the ethereal wars, which threatened our very existence?
[Largo] Wangah's thoughtless assault on the ethereal boundary may well serve to drop the sword of damocles that dangles above our head, even now.
[Largo] Witness: Helios
[Haengemie] Thank you, Largo.
[Haengemie] Helios, please approach the witness railing, to the Northeast of the jury box. You have 15 seconds.
[Haengemie] Thank you, Helios. You have been called to testify in this matter, please state the pertinent facts to the jury.
[Haengemie] Helios, you have 120 seconds to speak.
[Helios] Helios clears his throat and shuffles some papers.
[Helios] Thank you Judge.
[Helios] Hello Jury.
[Helios] I would like to key in on the importance of the past ethereal wars.
[Helios] Mr. Rah has played an integral role in developing our knowledge of the plane.
[Helios] I would like the jury to realize that Mr. Largo, as well as the real culprit, Pe Ell...
[Helios] ...have done considerably more damage to the ethereal plane than Mr. Rah.
[Helios] Done.
[Haengemie] Thank you, Helios.
[Haengemie] Wangah Rah, you have 120 seconds to speak.
[Wangah Rah] Largo has brought no evidence. He simply tries to undermine my character.
[Wangah Rah] I freely admit: I was in the Ethereal Plane. I was kidnapped and tossed there to rot.
[Wangah Rah] I was forced to depart. Largo approved this, and suggested a parade be thrown for the perpetrator.
[Wangah Rah] I have commited no crime. This should be obvious.
[Wangah Rah] Therefore, I move for a Frivolous vote. The Fen President...
[Wangah Rah] ..with all honor and respect his due...
[Wangah Rah] ...needs to be held to a high standard of conduct. His violation of his oaths should not be tolerated.
[Haengemie] 10 seconds remaining, Please finish up, or say "done"...
[Wangah Rah] Again, I implore you; recognize the corruption, and do not stand for it.
[Wangah Rah] Wangah Rah bows
[Haengemie] Thank you, Wangah Rah.
[Haengemie] <standard jury verdict briefing>
[Bellafae] Bellafae hands Haengemie the jury's verdict.
[Haengemie] Largo, this court has found your case frivolous.
[Haengemie] Wangah Rah, you are free to go.
[Haengemie] <standard jury sentence briefing>
[Haengemie] Jurors, you should take Largo's record into account when deciding what sentence to recommend.
[Bellafae] Bellafae hands Haengemie the jury's sentencing recommendation.
[Haengemie] Largo, you are hereby sentenced to spend 60 minutes in the Puddleby jail,
[Haengemie] and fined 45 coins.
[Haengemie] Because this is a first offense, Largo, I'm going to let you off without banishment this time.
[Haengemie] Judge Haengemie bangs his gavel
[Haengemie] This court is adjourned.
