5/16/01 v181

  • We crashed on 5/9. Fist time in 28 days. The record is 100 days. The gerbil whose trick it is to create new clans had an accident. We believe we have trained this gerbil to not piddle on the carpet any more.
  • Many gerbils have been retrained to make the world better when you connect to the world and when things bump into each other. We hope there will be no problems. Please forgive the cute furry things if there are. They are doing the best they can.

  • New macro variable: @my.selected_item.
  • Enjoy.

3/7/01 v171

  • No crashes or deadlocks to report since the last update.
  • We have become a bit more strict about the security of the master password to your account. You will receive a message when you log on if we don't like your password. Please log in and change your password. If you don't get the obvious message when you connect then there is no problem with your password. Passwords must be 8 to 15 characters long, must contain at least one non-letter, and be entirely composed of letters, numbers, spaces, or the following characters: ~!@#$%^&*()_+`1234567890-=[]{}\\|;':<>?,./. • Bracers are fixed so they only work if you have the training.
  • Progress was made on the Carbon version for OS X. It will be made available as soon as is convenient.

1/24/01 v165

  • We crashed inexplicably on 1/21 about 8:30pm.
  • Your coin bounties will now be displayed graphically as a number of coins that float toward you. If the bounty is shared, the total will float near the monster corpse.
  • Clothing has been turned into items. Check your inventory, or see Habille in the fairgrounds if you get a message from her when you log in. Clothing can be worn, changed, dyed, and sold.
  • Clothing doesn't fade in color, but it will eventually wear out if you don't keep it maintained. It will give plenty of warning before it falls apart and disappears. Clothing only wears out while you're actually wearing it, not while it's in your pack or you're in the library.
